I have a 2011 mustang convertible with shaker stereo. Last night when changing CDs the sound went off. Now the unit has power but no sound. Also if you insert a cd it displays bad disc.

It sounds like, from your description, the ACM (Audio Control Module) has internally failed and is causing the problem with you audio system. The ACM is the module behind the control panel that has the buttons and display for the radio. The replacement ACM will need to be programed to your vehicle for it to function properly.
