I have a 92 Ford E150 conversion van with the 5.0 V8. A week

Customer Question

I have a 92 Ford E150 conversion van with the 5.0 V8. A week ago it just died going down road. Now it won't start. I can smell fuel and I've tried starting fluid but I have no spark. Coil, plugs, wires and distributor all new a year ago. I've checked all fuses and breakers. I don't know what else to check. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. --Joel O

Can you try disconnecting the SPOUT connector and then try to start the engine?

The SPOUT connector should look like this:

Disconnected plug, still no fire.

How about if you disconnect the PCM?

Do you have a multi-meter?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No multimeter. No luck with the PCM. And now I have to go back to work. Thanks for the help

I'll stand by to offer more help when you are ready.

I think you may just have a bad stator in the distributor (unless you replaced the entire distributor and not just the cap).
