Hello, how many miles are on this vehicle?

I just purchased this truck. It looks like most of the miles are highway and it does not appear a trailer has ever been behind it. It has been service by a Ford dealer every 5000 miles according to maint. records. I am just hearing horror stories about turbos and glow plugs
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.

If you are having issues you are under warranty until 100k miles. If you haven't had issues as of yet you probably won't. Since the vehicle has 98k miles I would contact a Ford dealer and ask about an extended warranty. If you get an extended warranty from Ford any future issues will be taken care of. The Premium care warranty from Ford covers 98% of your vehicle regardless of what issue you are having.

I purchased the 2 yr 24,000 mile warranty. Are the glow plugs accessable without removing intake covers? Looks like they are.
See I do all maintenance myself. This is my RV hauler so I am maticulous about preventative maintenance. Example, I believe the recommendation for fuel filter replacement is 22,500 miles. Dont like that. This one will get fuel filters every second oil change or 10000 miles.
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.

You are correct. Fuel filters should be changed every 10,000 miles. The glow plugs are accessible by removing the injector noise cover. The noise cover is the hardest thing to remove.

What is the challenge involved with the noise cover?
Expert:  James replied 1 year ago.

They are just retaining clips. They are just difficult to access to remove.
