I have a 1998 f150. every once in a while it just dies usually when i'm accelerating. I have to tap accelerator a few times to get it to go. it is like it either floods out or starves out. any ideas. 160k miles. triton v8

NOT REALLY. I CAN HAVE CRUISE SET AT 50-60.IT HAPPENS GOING UP HILL MOSTLY AROUND 40-60

It sounds like you may be losing fuel pressure under a load. I would test fuel pressure with a gauge and drive the vehicle. Make sure the fuel pressure doesn't drop below 35psi or the vehicle can go into a stalling condition like you are having.
