my 2003 Taurus has a complete electrical failure as I am driving. All my dash board lights flicker on and off and then total failure

Hello, this is usually going to be caused by a faulty charging system. When the alternator fails the vehicle begins to use battery power. Once the battery drains the vehicle will stall completely.

The only way the car starts back up is by rapidly turning the lights on and offf

That can be a bad battery cable no would clean all the corrosion off of them. If there is any black oxidation the cables can be bad
