2004 ford explorer missing on acceleration we have changed

Customer Question

2004 ford explorer missing on acceleration we have changed plugs wires and coil pack, its not throwing any codes or no lights on but rough sounding when you take off and accelerate and going about 50 its good but when you hit 60 and up it slowly then sometimes jumps surges and then runs fine. also noticed the rpm gauge will stick sometimes when it does it and then it will go up then come back down to where it needs to be. At a lost !!!

It sounds like you may have a fuel restriction. I would replace the fuel filter and retest for correct operation. Before driving disconnect the battery for ten minutes to reset the fuel trim tables though.
