I have a 2012 Ford Escape with the V6. I had a tow tch

Customer Question

I have a 2012 Ford Escape with the V6. I had a tow hitch installed at U-haul but not a suplimental cooler. Will I need an additional cooler to tow a small utility trailer (1250 lbs GVW)? The cooler now is part of the AC cooler.

Hello, the factory towing capacity is 1500lbs. You would be safe if you do not overload the trailer. I would suggest having an auxillary cooler installed though just to be on the safe side.

When installing the additional cooler which line into the factory cooler is the return to the transmission?

It's the one on the bottom of the radiator near the lower coolant hose
