Hello, my name is***** and thanks for your question.

By code the key do you mean program it? How many programmed keys are there total?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have an ignition key that hasn't been coded to the vehicle. There is only one coded key at this time.
Expert:  Kenny Z. replied 1 year ago.

You need a Ford IDS scanner to program a second key. Either a Ford dealer or a locksmith that has an IDS scanner.

There has to be a minimum of two programmed keys to program additional keys without an IDS scanner.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thank you. I knew what you told me except for the part about having to have at least 2 keys to not need the IDS.
