Customer Question

Do I have to get an engine in the 2004-2007 class, they seem to have a bad rep. I have a 2005 F150. Will a 2008 or 2009 fit?

Hello and thank you for your question. My name is James.

You can use a later model engine from a 2008-9. Make sure you use the flywheel from the original engine to match the transmission/torque converter. The external difference is in the engine is the number of valve cover bolts, but the later engine will bolt right up without any problems.
