I have a 2011 Escape 3.0 V6. THE YELLOW WRENCH LIGHT came on

Customer Question

Hi I have a 2011 Escape 3.0 V6. THE YELLOW WRENCH LIGHT came on last night as I was cruising at 65mph there was a slight loss of power then seemed ok after a moment. This morning it started up fine and the wrench light has not come on, should I be concerned and get it checked asap?

You can stop by any auto parts store and have then scan the engine computer for trouble codes. We have seen issues with the throttle body and also the fuel vapor system.

But get the trouble codes, if any, and post them on this page.

If you have no trouble codes, you are having what we call and intermittent problem and will need to be diagnosed when the problem is present and the light is on.

But if your vehicle is running fine, just having the codes checked would be recommended.
