I have a 2004 sport trac. It wont start but turns over

Customer Question

I have a 2004 sport trac. It wont start but turns over easily. Ipressed the inertia reset and it started for about a second or two. I did this several times and then noticed the reset button stays up all the time?? What would cause that?

The only thing that would cause that is a bad switch as the switch has a internal catch to keep the button from popping up. It is a self contained unit so you will have to replace the inertia switch. Hope this information helps. Lou
