By the way, the mechanics have hooked computer to it and no code comes up on possible issues.

Hello, with the light coming on it should be setting a code, not all scan tools can pull transmission codes. if t has some miles on it and its shifting ok, I would suspect it is storing or setting a torque convertor clutch slippage code, indicating an issue with a worn torque convertor
