2002 ls linc 8 cyclinder: I have a 2002 ls linc. does this

Customer Question

I have a 2002 ls linc. does this car have rear struts or shocks

Yours has rear coil over shocks. This means that the shock goes thru the coil, instead of being mounted in separate location. They are similiar in looks to a strut, but are in fact a shock.
Rear shocks can cause a vehicle to be out of alignment and cause vibration. As to whether they are the cause of your current issues on the alignment, I would have to know the front and rear alignment specs for the caster, camber and toe-in. Without knowing these, it is speculation at best on whether the shocks are the cause of the vehicle being out of alignment.
