2002 explorer, door ajar light stays on, i narrowed it down

the liftgate door and ligate glass both have ajar switches that are in line with each other, so remove the liftgate panel and find the white/violet wire going to the liftgate glass ajar switch and cut this wire and ground it , this will show the liftgate glass and the lift gate door to be shut all the time, you can use the ground from the liftgate door ajar switch witch is a black wire ,,, so cut the white/violet wire to the glass ajar switch and tie it to the black wire on the liftgate door ajar switch , the black one and then these doors will show to be shut all the time,
