My 2002 Ford escort makes a 'snap' noise, when I turn either right or left. is this dangerous to drive, and am I looking at awful expense? Was told it may be a 't 'rod'.

Hi, my name is ***** ***** would be your tie rod, and yes, it can be dangerous, if it breaks, then you will loose steering and could have an accident, but they are not expensive to replace, the part is about 20 dollars, and the labor to install it is only about 40 dollars at most shops, but it does need to be replaced as soon as possible,Tim
