F150: , Tom here. The 40A blower fuse blows as soon as I

Customer Question

Hi, Tom here. The 40A blower fuse blows as soon as I turn on the fan for the A/C. The compressor runs, and it will cool. I've checked the diode in the fuse box, it's ok. Not sure where to go next and was looking for maybe some previous posts similar to my problem. Any ideas? Vehicle is 1997 4.6 V8 F-150 XLT. Odometer broke about 10 years ago at 147,000. Truck is in awesome shape.

Thank you for using just answer I will help you with your question.Disconnect the blower motor and see if it still blows. If not then you need to replace the blower motor because it is drawing too many amps.
