How do I get the ends of the bumper cover loose on an 07 Fusion. I can't see any bolts or screws after removing the inner fender.

Hi, my name is ***** ***** are 3 push pin connectors on each sdie for the fender slash shiel, and 4 screws on each side to remove, below is the complete preocedure for removing the bumper cover,Tim

Exploded View

All vehicles

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
  2. Remove the 6 pin-type retainers (3 each side).
  3. Remove the 8 fender splash shield screws (4 each side).

  1. Remove the 4 air deflector bolts.

MKZ only

  1. Remove the 5 bolts from the top of the radiator grille.

Fusion and Milan only

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 pin-type retainers from the top of the radiator grille.

I saw this lay out and ironically it does not tell how to deal with the ends. I finally figured it out and there is a plastic piece that is bolted to the car and clips to the bumper cover. The clips needed to be pryed apart to release the ends. But thanks for your efforts
