I have a new 2014...
I have a new 2014 mustang GT premium and the interior lights and trunk light go out only a minute after door is opened. I checked other cars of same year and model and they stay on much longer, like 20 minutes. Is there something I can adjust to make it longer or is there something defective? most cars have the interior lights go out after so much time to save the battery but I have never seen one go out after only a minute

tech7027 : If your vehicle has less than 50 miles on it, this is normal. After 50 miles, this feature will go from 1 minute to 10 minutes provided the door or trunk is not shut. This feature was incorporated to save on battery drain until the battery is fully recharged from sitting on the dealership lot. Thank you for visiting the site, hopefully I have provided the info you wanted. If you have anymore questions on your mustang just ask, my name isXXXXX again, thanks.

I am having an issue with no “Door Ajar” 2011 Mustang GT
Yes in part. I have changed the SJB and had Ford reprogram it. I've also changed the door latch/switch assemblies in both doors and the ignition switch. I've also cleaned every ground I could find checked fuses, relays and traced the wiring the best I could to look for breaks paying particular attention in the door jamb areas. The system recognizes the good and trunk open but not either door. I should tell you I had a water intrusion issue through the firewall specifically the cabin air filter when the rubber boots were clogged from leaves. … read more
