I'm getting a low reductant...
I'm getting a low reductant fluid pressure code after replacing the DEF pump in a 2011 F350 w/6.7. History is lost power to DEF tank heater (Broken wire in harness) in below freezing temps, got code for heater. Restored power and got the low pressure code. Thought frozen DEF may have ruined pump but the code returned after new one was installed. The pressure sensor seems okay ,what next?

Hello Just Answer customer-
I am a Ford Diesel Master Certified Technician. I am here to help you repair your vehicle.

You need to do an injector flow test. That means the def injector will need to be removed and placed in a dosing cup. Then run the def test with the ford ids computer to see if the injector is flowing correctly. This test does require the correct dosing cup and the ids computer to get the correct results.Let me know how you make out.

I don't work for a dealer,so i guess i need to know if the ids computer test is something i can duplicate with an aftermarket computer as well as the dosing cup mentioned. I'm just a light fleet mechanic with few resources at a small company and don't have a lot modern diesel experience. I know that very often though there are more than one way to do some tests. If there is, i am willing to try before sending it to the dealer and avoid the high diagnosis charge. Thanks for the help.

You need the Ford Ids. However if the truck is still under 100k its a warranty repair. I would let the dealer handle the issue since it's covered.

Wow thats alot of miles on that truck. The system is very difficult to diagnose and repair without a capable scanner. Let me know what happens.
