2003 ford mustang: has a obd 2 code of p1285 cyl

This answer was rated:

I have a 2003 ford mustang 3.8v6 that has a obd 2 code of p1285 cyl. head temp. sensed.
That code is for the cylinder temp sensor but if the system does not appear to be over heating I would clear the code and see if it comes back (it may take a few days), if it does usually the problem is the sensor itself or the thermostat.
