where exactly is the fuel pump relay located on the 1996 ford escort lx (1.9 liter). and How to reset the fuel pump relay?

Hello and welcome to!

I believe you're referring to the fuel cut-off (inertia) switch. This switch is located in the passenger side of the trunk (storage compartment) area, and is bolted onto the rear side of the strut tower. You may need to replace a plastic trim panel to get access to it.

Make sure the red button on top is fully depressed.
