2007 F150: arctic..My power steering hose just started leaking

Resolved Question:

Hello, I own a 2007 F150, I live in the high arctic and the current temperature is -50 celsius.
My power steering hose just started leaking. I was wondering if Ford makes a stronger hose
than the one that comes stock. If so, where can I buy one?

Hello and Welcome to Justanswer,

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am here to try and assist your with your question.

Unfortunately Ford dosnt make any stronger hoses but the factory hose . They only list one hose, its the 6l3Z3-D-719J.

Would I be able to get a stronger hose from somewhere else? The factory hose is not strong enough when the temperature drops below -40 C. The fluid becomes thicker than ussual and the hose can burst. Do you have any suggestions?

Expert:  Ron replied 6 years ago.

You may be able to have one made up by someone who builds hydraulic hoses but I am not aware of who that would be where you are.
