Hello and welcome to JA, the 2.3L Escape does not use a fuel pressure regulator, we now use a fuel rail pressure sensor, which relays fuel line pressure information to the PCM so it can determine fuel system adjustments. Here is a pic of the fuel rail and the sensor.....
