Hi there,

My Focus 2003 has a front wiper motor problem. The wipers work very slowly and with great pain (and noise). Eventually, they stop completely... but will work again after a 5 minute rest. What's the problem?

JF Dorval

it sounds like a weak and failing wiper motor...its time to replace the wiper motor

  1. NOTE: Make sure that the windshield wiper motor is in the park position. Remove the cowl panel.

In order to remove the 2 black cowl panels, I have to remove the wiper arms on the left side. How do you remove these? Do I just pull on them? I can't see any screws...

Thanks again.

some wiper arms have a metal tab that gets pryed out to release the wiper arms, others habe a cap on the end that flips up top access a nut that gets unthreaded
