99 grand marquis: the intake manifold,now the car runs..rough..hoses

I also have a 99 grand marquis,Just replaced the intake manifold,now the car runs very rough,bucking terribly,any ideas like vacume hoses etc

Hello and welcome to


Sometimes when replacing the intake coolant will leak into the spark plug wells. Remove the ignition coils to see if there is coolant in those wells. Next double check the vacuum line connections and make sure the gaskets did not shift on you when installing the intake. Listen for a hissing noise on each runner and spray some crab cleaner around the intake and listen for a change in engine rpm.
