It should be ok as long as it runs ok. If it starts running rough, or misfiring, you'll need to have it looked at to keep further damage from happening.
The first thing I would do is
Check to see if the oil is dirty. The Variable Cam Timing (VCT) components on this engine do not operate correctly with dirty oil. If the oil is clean, make sure it is the correct weight. This engine uses 5/20 oil in cold weather and 5/30 oil in hot weather. Anything heavier can cause the VCT system not to work correctly.
