This is a crossover year.. Do you know if it has a MAF sensor in the air inlet to the engine or is equipped with a MAP sensor?

Your vehicle is equipped with a MAP sensor. It is mounted on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Check the vacuum line going to it as they will become cracked and can cause an overrich condition. A-3 in this schematic.

hi, i had the chance to check to pieces of vacuum line to map sensor
they were not cracked and leaking....help what else could this be..
the sensor? how to test? a friend told me could be egr valve..
Customer reply replied 8 years ago
the vacuum hoses were not cracked or weathered so now what is my problem???
Ford Mechanic: Ford Expert, Shop Foreman, Master Technician replied 8 years ago

The egr valve usually causes a rough idle..

I would take a fuel sample. Check the fuel pressure. And stop by autozone to have them run codes (they do it for free). If there is not a driveability concern, then the root cause may be the gasoline.
