2004 expedition: low oil pressure..oil pressure gauge..i put oil

Resolved Question:

while driving, my 2004 expedition low oil pressure gauge went below low and the the truck shutoff. i put oil in even though there was oil in it. it will start and after a minute same problem. low oil pressure and starts to run rough.

Your going to need to get a real oil pressure reading at the engine with a PSI gauge. If it shows low then there is a concern inside the engine with a clogged oil pickup or faulty pump or spun bearing. If the gauge shows good then its a oil pressure sensor which is bad.
