2002 Lincoln Navigator: heater core..rear air..Dealer tells..harness

Resolved Question:

I had the heater core replaced on my 2002 Lincoln Navigator and the whole dash had to come out. Afterwards, lots of things left unplugged (rear speakers, cd deck, rear air, cruise control), all is fixed but cruise control and rear subwoofer. Dealer tells me if any speakers work, then they all should work b/c the are connected one time through a harness in the back of the radio. However, if that were true, why did the rear door speakers need reconnecting? Is there a connection for the subwoofer that is separate from this harness?

Yes if your vehicle was equipped with a sub woofer it will have a separate 8 cavity connector on the back of the radio with four wires in it.

The wire colors are as follows

Pin 1 : Red/black ,Sub woofer high audio +

Pin 2: Brown/orange, Sub woofer high audio -

pin 3: audio shield wire

pin4 : dark green/violet sub woofer high audio mute

These wires also go thru another connector which is a 16 pin connector behind the right front kick panel
