There isn't a way to change it from the trunk. Are the screws not spinning? or Just spinning and not coming out?
See if you can get some pliers on the head of the screw. Pull on the screw while unscrewing it. Try spraying some wd40 on the screws and let them sit a minute.
Try tightening the screws then unscrewing them.
If all else fails, you can tap them out.

How do you tap them out? do we need to do that from inside the trunk or under the body somewhere?
I would get a cutter and cut the heads off the screw and work the housing off the broken screws do you see what I mean?
