2003 Ford: light stays..The emergency brake light comes on randomly

This answer was rated:

2 problems with my 2003 Ford Explorer.
1: The door ajar light stays on though no doors are open.
2: The emergency brake light comes on randomly.

Thank you for using just answer.

Ok first with the door ajar.A sensor may be bad causing the light to stay on.I want you to try something first.Take some wd-40 or pb blaster and spray into the door latch good. Then shut the door and open it a couple of times.99% of the time this works.Doo all 4 doors.Second the brake pedal light. There is a sensor that is located on the emergency brake pedal housing.Sometimes they stick and cause this.Or the pedal itself is worn out and is sagging causing it to light up.

Thank you
