Thanks for using Just Answer, the EEC (Electronic Engine Control) Module or computer is located on the firewall and to the right of the brake master cylinder.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the module wiring leading to the unit.
  3. Unscrew, then remove the control unit from the vehicle.

To install:

  1. Attach the module to the bracket, then screw in place.
  2. Attach the wiring to the module.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable

Hope this helps you out.

no, i know where it is behind the emergency brake peddal, which i have removed to get at it. 1992 Ford F150

The computer cannot be removed from the interior it will never come out. There should be some plastic inner fender in the way , Use a prybar or flat blade screwdriver to move to the side to gain access to the computer. It has to come out through the engine compartment.
