The GEM module is located behind the radio, bolted to the dash support, here is the replacement procedure, hope this helps.

 

Generic Electronic Module (GEM)/Central Timer Module (CTM)

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).
  2. graphic
  3. Remove the radio chassis (18806);
  4. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel.
    1. Remove the screws.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  2. Remove the GEM/CTM.
    1. Remove the GEM/CTM screw.
    1. Disconnect the four connectors from the GEM/CTM.
