2000 ford explorer: driver door wont lock

Resolved Question:

2000 ford explorer, driver door won't lock. button goes up and down, remote works, but door can be opened from outside as if it isn't locked. How do i fix it?

if the lock rod goes up and down and doesnt lock the door than you will need to pull the door panel and look adn see if a rod came loose from the latch if not than you will have to replace the latch. That will just require removing the 3 screws that hold it to the door and drilling out the rivet for the actuator. than unhooking all rods. It may help you if you take a picture of how the rods come off so you get them back the same way.
