which direction does the crankshaft pulley bolt turn to loosen

This answer was rated:

which direction does the crankshaft pulley bolt turn to loosen it to remove crankshaft pulley, on a 1996 ford ranger 2.3L 4 cyl. is it right hand or left hand thread?
It is right handed threads, so you need to turn it to the left to loosen (left if looking at the front of the pulley bolt).

thanks so its a regular right hand thread, will i need a special puller to pull off the pulley thanks Customer
I believe it will come right off just by pulling on it but if not you will need a puller like a steering wheel puller.
