If the coolant level is OK, the coolant level sensor in the coolant reservoir may be stuck. They tend to stick over time due to a build up of film in the coolant reservoir. If you know the reservoir is full and are annoyed by the light, you can just unplug the sensor at the bottom of the reservoir. Other wise you'll need to replace the coolant bottle.

Reply to lamontgomery's Post: will it hurt anything to keep on running the car with the low coolant light on???

No, it's just to remind you that the coolant level is low. It's not tied in to the engine computer. If the coolant level in the reservoir is in the operating range (not empty), it will be fine. A layer of gunk tends to build in the reservoir, causing the float in the sensor to bind. It's a pretty common problem in most Ford products with this set up. You can leave it unplugged to save money, or have the coolant bottle replaced.
