Hello my name is ***** ***** welcome to just answers! I will be assisting you with all of your vehicle questions today. Give me one moment while I review your question and come back with a answer. Please be aware I do not know your skill level or abilities so I will be asking a lot of questions and in a lot of cases we will respond to each other quite a lot before we find a solution. As far as phone calls are concerned that is the system prompting you, not me, and they do cost more money, I prefer text but in some cases a phone call is required. If I don’t answer right away or quickly in conversation I am helping another customer or have stepped out for a moment and will respond as soon as I can. Ok lets get started!

When you checked the relay did you get power and ground on 85 and 86

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question

can you throw power to 87 and get it to start? and is there power on 30?

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
I did crank it from the relay point with my tester it did crank but didn't start up

so with a new relay in that spot you cant get power down to starter?

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
I did try a next relay same thing no crank from the key inside

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
I got 12v

well everything is checking out, you should be getting 12v at starter wire,

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
No crank still the relay don't close
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
But I should get some kind of resistance on the Wire
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
To ground

should be very low resistance if anything, you may want to check the relay panel and check connections on the back side and check the signal from pcm to relay ground, could be a connector loose or corroded

Ask Your Own Lincoln Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
once I am getting a positive signal from the key to the relay does that mean the key is still program
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
low resistance is closer to 0 right
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
It is saying on the drawing it is the og wire coming from the pcm with the ground to the relay can u send me a drawing to make sure I got the right drawing
Customer reply replied 9 months ago

no. turn the key off. check for 12vdc at 30

Customer reply replied 9 months ago
Test lead on pos. For battery and 30 I got 12v

ok. since you have voltage on 30 and 85 when trying to start, we can assume the ignition switch is good, the transmission range sensor is good.

Customer reply replied 9 months ago
10.4v on 85

Customer reply replied 9 months ago
