Hi, I am Mike, welcome. I'm reviewing your question.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

I might be able to do you one better and find the actual screw, but can you tell me where on the engine this splash shield is located exactly?

Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

Splash guard I meant to say.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

It may be listed here but will need to know where exactly on this engine it is located, http://www.fordparts.com/Commerce/CatalogResults.aspx?y=2015&m=Lincoln&mo=MKC&initSearch=1&keyword=screw#Search

You never mentioned what engine it is, too.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
The engine splash guard is under the car - the engine is an eco-boost
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
the engine splash guard lost its screw and it is hanging down on one side. i can fix it but i just need to know what size or type of screw to get to fix it.
Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

Is it the 2.0 or 2.3? If you don't know, just give me the 8th digit of the vin.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

What does this guard actually screw to?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
its a 2.3L It screws into the bottom of the car - I think it can be removed when the oil is changed.
Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

What does it screw into?

I cannot find it that is why I am asking these questions.

It might actually be called something else, too.

This guard screws to the bottom of the car. Here are two pictures
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
The entire piece or guard seems to have four screws. The guard is in the front of the car - under the engine. Its under the car. It is hanging down on the right side. Which you can see from the picture. The orange hole is the hole where the screws goes. The screw goes in the piece hanging down and screws into this hole.
Expert:  Mike S. replied 5 months ago.

Is the screw that is missing the same as one of those 4 you mentioned? If so, why not just remove one of them and take it into a hardware store and match up a new one?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I can't the screw out. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, I am not going to bale to help, sorry.

The screws are called Torx screws and you will need a T30 or T35 Torx bit socket to remove them.
