Do you have any trouble codes stored in the system?

Are you getting any unusual engine noise?

Expert:  Jared D replied 7 months ago.

Unless you have a ton of engine noise, the symptoms you describe sounds like a restricted exhaust system. You might try disconnecting the exhaust at the manifold and see if the engine will run. If it does, then you know the problem is a restriction in either the catalytic converters or the muffler.

Be aware, it will be very loud with the exhaust disconnected.
