first it would drag and finally start Replaced starter and it would start but not like normal checked and replaced battery worked for a couple of days and now it starts sometimes but others it wont turn over after a couple of times trying and waiting a second it will start. I'm lost
JA: Does the battery look like it's leaking? And does it have a strong smell -- like sulfur?
Customer: no its brand new
JA: What is the model/year of your Lincoln?
Customer: 2009 Licoln MKZ
JA: Are you fixing your MKZ yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Replaced starter,replaced battery and had altenator checked
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Do you have a volt meter to check voltages?

Test for battery voltage at the starter small wire when turning the key. If voltage is present when turning the key and not starting then you just have a bad starter.
