Customer Question

Car is a 1997 Lincoln Towncar with 260,000 miles on it. It has been a wonderful problem free car. Problem now is that the car won't start. We have a charged battery, terminals on battery have been cleaned. Battery appears to have a good charge, Lights all work good however the engine does not turn over when I attempt to start it. It did start the other day with a "jump start".I tried a jump start today but no start. What could the problem be?

Hello, if it started h a jump with a jump (extra amperage) the starter itself is most likely bad. If youd like to check for proper voltage to the starter and have a voltmeter let me know and we can work further.
