Customer Question

The drivers side mirror is making noise even when car is shut off. I pulled the fuse to stop the noise and save my battery. With the fuse out the seats wont adjust.
JA: Have you tested the battery with a voltmeter? And can you see if it's leaking or not?
Customer: Its a new battery and is good.
JA: What is the make/model/year of your car?
Customer: 2004 Lincoln Navigator
JA: Are you fixing your Navigator yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Just the fuse.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no.

Hi, I am Mike, welcome. I'm reviewing your question.

The power exterior mirrors are controlled by the DSM and are operational all the time, whether the ignition switch is on or off. Using the power exterior mirror switch, the driver can adjust the driver and passenger exterior mirrors four ways.

With that done said, it appears as though it's a faulty power exterior mirror switch.
