Customer Question

I need to replace the backup camera on a 2013 mkz. I took the trunk cover off inside and see that there are bolts that hold on the tail spoiler where the camera is located. I removed the bolts, but the tail piece will not come off and I dont want to force it. So, doing some research as to the procedure.
JA: Is this an aftermarket camera, or did it come with the vehicle?
Customer: stock
JA: Are you fixing your MKZ yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have researched the failure and am certain it is the camera itself. I have just started, trying to get to the camera to verify the part number
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: the wiring looks good, and the camera works intermittently
