have a 2012 Ford f150 5.0L & I'm replacing BCM & i would like to know if i could use a used BCM. Or used is not an option

I would recommend a new BCM. But you can use a used BCM. But make sure the part numbers match the one in your truck and the replacement one will need to be programed to your vehicle for it to work properly because it is a module within itself. See below.
