My MKC that I just bought 3 weeks ago won't start. It won't

Customer Question

Hi there! My MKC that I just bought 3 weeks ago won't start. It won't even turn on to recognize either key fob. All lights, screens, everything is black. The car won't lock or anything.
JA: Can you turn the steering wheel at all? And what about the key? Is it worn or damaged?
Customer: Please read my message. I can't do anythng.
JA: What year is your MKC?
Customer: 2015
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I tried starting it yesterday. There was a little electrical life in it, but it was fuzzy and it would die out. I tried starting from the center console like it said in the car manual, but that didn't work, either.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: That's pretty much it.

When it did have a little bit of electrical flicker yesterday, it did show that the car was in park, and the brake pedal was stiff. It wouldn't push to the floor so I could push-button turn the car on.

Can you raise the hood and check the battery terminals for being loose and the battery for needing a charge?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't know how to check if it needs a charge other than the obvious indication that it won't start. I was able to get the cover off of it and noticed that nothing was loose.

A test light? Anything, even a battery charger?

Jumper cables and someone to try to charge the battery some?
