I HAVE 2000 LINCOLN TOWNCAR SIGNATURE LIMITED EDITION WITH ALPINE RADIO. I WAS PLAYING CD PLAYER WITH HIGH VOLUME ALL AT ONCE I LOST VOLUME. I CAN HARDLY HEAR CD OR RADIO NOW????? MIKE
JA: Have you checked the fuses?
Customer: YES I DO NOT KNOW WHAT FUSE WOULD CONTROL VOLUME???

Customer: YES I FIRST THOUGHT I BLEW THE FRONT SPEAKERS IN DOOR I HOOKED UP A GOOD SPEAKER STILL LOW VOLUME.NOW I WAS THINKING A AMP MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM DON'T KNOW LOCATION AND HOW TO CHECK

1- check the AMP behind the rear seat

i sent you a link for location of it

2-there is a fuse box below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal

remove the cover to access fuse

3 check the radio fuse , i sent you a link for location and what fuse is , just check all of them if you can see good, with a test light

3- pull the radio out and see if power coming to it

if fuses are good and amp is good and power to radio , then change radio itself

big possibility amp is bad , common problem on the Lincoln

I SOME OTHER THINGS I HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF,SO I HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO WORK ON THE LINCOLN. IT IS ABOVE 90 DEG. IN OHIO SO WHEN I GO TO WORK ON IT I WILL PARK IT UNDER TREES IN BACK YARD.I HAVE A HEATER FAN CONTROL TO PUT ON THE LINCOLN. I WILL GET BACK WITH YOU WHEN I GET BACK TO THE CAR. MIKE
