Customer Question

On the gps navigation system -- the NO GPS icon is on all the time.
JA: What is the model/year of your Lincoln?
Customer: 2008 Navigator
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I haven't tried anything yet. I was just reading online that the GPS antenna may not be connected properly. The unit has worked OK for the past 6 years; it just stopped working a few months ago.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: I guess I need to know if I can do anything myself, or just take the vehicle to the Lincoln dealer.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the Lincoln Mechanic about your situation and then connect you two.

Hello, yes a gps/satellite antenna can go bad,but the only way to know for sure what is going on is to use a dealer style scan tool to run a full diagnostic on the vehicle. There could be an issue with the module itself, which would require reprogramming is replacement was required.
