Customer Question

I have an 07 town car and my a/c isn't working, a few things I noticed: 1.) refrigerant is full 2.) Tha climate control panel seems to be working however the mode control isn't working properly (won't switch settings from floor to vent)
Where do I start to check?

Hello and thank you for your question,

Let start with running the self test on the controller. Post back with the fault codes and we can work from there.

  • To enter the self-test, press the OFF and FLOOR buttons simultaneously and then press the AUTO button within 2 seconds. The display will show the fan speed indicator illuminating from low to high. The test may run as long as 30 seconds. Record all DTCs displayed

It won't do the self test

In most cases if the system will not self test and you are unable to control the setting that usually means the control panel has failed.

Will that cause the a/c to not work?
