It really depends on the situation, if I was going to keep the car for less than a year I would try it, if I was going to keep it a lot long then no, these sealers can work, but they plug holes like in the heater core, then you have no heat with a cooling system that is now contaminated, and once in there, it is almost impossible to get it back out. In my opinion I would just do a normal repair with out the sealer so the heater and all cooling components keep working correctly.
