I have a 1997 Lincoln VIII. Air ride light comes on

Customer Question

Hi. I have a 1997 Lincoln Mark VIII. Air ride light comes on intermittently when driving, not at start up. About a week ago total front end was replaced, including air bags, solenoids resealed with new rubber orings and dielectric grease, new inner, outer tie rods, upper lower ctrl arms, strut rod bushings, then aligned. Was fine for about a week. Now car is HIGH on all four corners, compressor rarely comes on, and it never lowers and I get the air ride error after 90 seconds. Thanks. Chris

Hello, there is no simple answer for this concern without running the air suspension system through a diagnostic check with a scan tool. this will test the system, show any diagnostic trouble codes stored and check venting operation. Since the front system is new, the rear system could be at fault or an issue with the wiring for the vent solenoid or ride height sensors. no way of knowing without going through a diagnostic check
